Beach area and picnic shelters on Pound Reservoir, within walking distance to Cane Patch Campground, all part of the Jefferson National Forest.
The Phillips Creek Loop Trail is a self-guided trail with many attractions along the way such as an old still site, a waterfall along a high sandstone cliff, and an old Indian hunting camp. The trail is approximately 1.3 miles long and easy to hike with slopes less than 20%.
Day use fee $3 per vehicle
From Kingsport, TN: Follow US23 North to Pound, VA. At the second Pound exit make a left onto SR 671 West. Follow for 5.5 miles to the entrance on the right.

From Abingdon, VA: Follow US 58W/US 19N to Hansonville, VA. Turn left onto US 58W Alternate and drive to Norton. At Norton, turn north onto US 23 toward Pound, VA. At the second Pound exit make a left onto SR 671 West. Follow for 5.5 miles to the entrance on the right.
